Palletways UK, the express palletised distribution service, has acquired the business and assets of John T Evans Haulage Ltd after the business was placed into administration, the company has told Logistics Manager. The acquisition covers both the John T Evans depots in Barry, Wales and Avonmouth, Bristol.
“John T Evans has been a long standing member of Palletways providing an excellent service for the delivery of small consignments of palletised freight to customers in South Wales and the Bristol area,” said a Palletways spokesperson. “Palletways is working with the teams in Avonmouth and Barry to ensure customers receive the high levels of service they have been accustomed to.”
More than 100 John T Evans employees have transferred across to Palletways, meaning there have been no redundancies.
