Developer Panattoni has submitted a hybrid planning application for the redevelopment of the 359-acre former Honda Manufacturing Plant, in Swindon into a 7 million ft2 plus logistics park.
The developer is seeking full planning consent for a 2.35 million ft2 build-to-suit warehouse to meet the requirements of a known distribution occupier as well as outline consent for an additional 4.9 million ft2 of logistics space across four development zones.
The buildings, which have a range of eaves heights from 10 – 25m, will be developed to target BREEAM Excellent with a minimum commitment of BREEAM ‘Very Good’.
It is thought upwards of 7,000 jobs could be created across the site.
Joint letting agents are Avison Young and DTRE.
