Panther Warehousing, the two man delivery specialist, is gearing up to launch a new service, Deliver and Build, for self-assembly furniture.
It will trial the service later this year in the run up to peak before its full launch in March 2016. It will give customers the option of having their home delivery orders assembled for them. The self-assembly items include bed frames, divan sets and other household furniture.
Panther believes that the service could be used for some remedial work, for example replacement of wardrobe doors.
Managing director Colin McCarthy said: “The new Deliver and Build service is a natural progression for us as a business. The growth of the online home furnishings market, coupled with our reputation as a flexible and reliable high-end delivery specialist, means that we are perfectly placed to expand our offering to meet the growing needs of our customers.
“None of our competitors are offering this service and it is always our aim to stay ahead of the game and ensure we continue to meet the challenges of the online retail business and the expectations of shoppers. We believe this new service will prove to be incredibly popular and demand for our specialist service will grow and grow.”
