Parcelforce is launching its tracked global priority return service to retailers posting to Australia. This will be the first country outside of the EU to have access to the express parcel business’ service.
The service is designed to make it simpler for UK online retailers to provide international customers with a trackable returns service. Royal Mail Group has said that returned parcels posted from Australia will arrive in the UK within three to four days.
“Our research shows that online shopping in Australia is on the up,” said Gary Simpson, managing director of Parcelforce Worldwide. “More than half (55 per cent) of online, shoppers say they shop more on the Internet than before.
“Our global priority return service provides international shoppers with an improved returns experience and makes UK online retailers a much more attractive proposition.”
The service will be using established international postal networks – it will be available through 4,000 outlets in Australia.
