Pentalver is investing in 52 Scania R450SCR trucks which it reckons give a one mile per gallon improvement on its existing trucks.
Nick Matthews, general manager at Pentalver’s Cannock operation, said: “The new vehicles provide great fuel economy and deliver in excess of 10 mpg, an impressive 1 mpg improvement over our existing vehicles.”
Seven of the trucks will be based at Pentalver’s Felixstowe operation. The other 45 will be at the Cannock depot.
“As a growing business, our fleet replacement programme will see us seeking to replace a further seventy plus vehicles in 2016, reinforcing our commitment to a growing driver workforce,” said Matthews.
