Pets At Home’s £48m distribution centre in Stafford has secured the green light from planners.
The 670,000 sq ft facility to be built on land north of Redhill Business Park secured approval last night in a virtual planning committee meeting.
Land off the A34, north of Redhill Business Park has been earmarked for the scheme which will see Stoford Development finance and construct a c.670,000 sq ft, including office and parking spaces, cross-docked facility.
An additional 100,000 sq ft of expansion land will be available, if required.
The plans were first revealed in by Logistics Manager in July last year.
It was revealed that Pets At Home had signed a 20 year lease on the property which will now be developed by Stoford on the 52-acre plot.
The facility will include a purpose-built warehouse unit, a three-storey office and two double-storey hub offices. A recycling store, tote store and a gatehouse will be built detached from the main building. An additional 100,000 sq ft of expansion land will also be available, if required.
Construction is expected to start shortly with completion pre fit-out anticipated during 2022.
