Peugeot Citroen is to open a 20,000 sq m automotive parts distribution centre at Niedersachsenpark in Neuenkirchen in north west Germany.
Real estate owner P3 has broken ground on the build to suit development, which will provide 17,000 sqm of warehousing plus 1,053 sqm office space and a 2,098 sqm mezzanine area, allowing room for future expansion. The building is due for completion in April 2016.
The distribution centre will have eight dock levellers ten Sprinter van doors and a clear height of 10 m. It will be P3’s first “next generation” development in western Europe, designed and constructed to the highest environmental standards.
P3’s new managing director for Germany Jürgen Diehl said: “We have worked closely with Peugeot Citroen to develop premises perfect for its operation that not only meets the company’s needs today but which also could easily be adapted to changing demands in the future.”
