Pharmacy2U has taken the last warehouse unit on the first phase of Mountpark’s Mountpark Bardon scheme in Leicestershire, East Midlands.
Pharmacy2U, the UK’s largest online pharmacy, will use the 65,015 sq ft facility as an automated dispensing facility with the capacity to deliver up to 6.5 million items a month.
“Pharmacy2U, is managing NHS repeat prescriptions from request to delivery for over 270,000 patients across the country and is growing over 100 per cent YOY,” said Mark Livingstone, CEO of Pharmacy2U. “Mountpark Bardon is at the heart of the UK’s motorway network, so it is an ideal location for us and we are delighted to have secured this building.”
Located at Junction 22 of the M1, north of Leicester, Mountpark Bardon is within a 4.5 hour HGV drive time of around 85 per cent of the UK population.
Pharmacy2U joins Amazon and Eddie Stobart on the first phase of Mountpark Bardon, which comprises three units totalling 1.45 million sq ft.
Mountpark recently launched the second phase of Mountpark Bardon, a 72.5 acre site, where it can deliver a further 1.3 million sq ft of logistics space for the East Midlands. A £4.5 million infrastructure programme is now complete and the site is fully consented to deliver design and build units from 200,000 sq ft to 1 million sq ft within a 40 week programme.
