Harworth Group has submitted an outline planning application in partnership with Paul Gilliat to Doncaster Council for a 2.9 million sq ft industrial and logistics scheme at Bradholme Farm in Thorne, South Yorkshire.
The proposals on the 257-acre site envisage a northern zone for smaller employment units ranging from 10,000 sq ft to 170,000 sq ft, while the southern zone has been designed to provide larger warehouse units spanning from 160,000 sq ft to 775,000 sq ft.
The site is situated within close proximity to the M18 and M180 motorways and will contribute significantly to the regeneration of Thorne, creating up to 4,500 new jobs and providing around ÂŁ252 million of GVA per annum.
Peter Henry, Regional Director – Yorkshire & Central at the Harworth Group said: “The employment proposal for Bradholme Farm is one of a number of sites being considered by Doncaster Council and the Local Plan Inspector as part of the preparation of its new Local Plan.”
