PLP has appointed St Albans-based Glencar Construction to develop the first phase of its 30-acre logistics development at PLP Crewe.
Two warehouse units of 92,500 sq ft and 43,000 sq ft are being built speculatively, with practical completion due in July 2020.
Phase two of the scheme – which is considered to be a gateway site with links to Junction 16 of the M6 – is currently being marketed for design and build opportunities.
Keith Wilson, development director at PLP, said: “Occupier interest in phase one has been very strong and now prospective occupiers can physically see the units being delivered, we expect to conclude deals shortly.
“PLP has been hugely impressed with Glencar’s expertise, professionalism and enthusiasm. We look forward to completing two fantastic units for which, in line with our long-term sustainability policies, include roof mounted solar panels, multiple electric charging points for vehicles, and future proofing for further reduction of carbon footprints by end users.”
Knight Frank has been appointed as leasing agent for PLP Crewe.
