A specialist fine art logistics and storage business has become the first tenant at Prologis’ first urban logistics development Prologis Dawley Road, Hayes, West London.
Martinspeed has taken a lease on a 13,575 sq ft unit at the 121,011 sq ft development which consists of six speculatively developed facilities.
Simon Sheffield, executive chairman of Martinspeed said: “With our other warehouses in Hayes it made a lot of sense to lease an additional building to accommodate the expansion of our business. We view Hayes, as an important strategic location for our international business.”
Prologis Dawley Road is in an established industrial area close to Heathrow Airport and the West London market. The development has easy access to Junction 3 and Junction 4 of the M4, Junction 15 of the M25 and Junction 1A of the M40.
“Prologis Dawley Road is attracting a high level of interest and we are pleased that it suits Martinspeed’s requirements so well,” said Andrew Griffiths, managing director of Prologis UK. “We anticipate that the development will meet the needs of both specialist logistics operators and larger organisations seeking last mile distribution facilities.”
Cedarwood is the development manager at Prologis Dawley Road.
