The second day of the Omni-Channel Conference will be taking place today at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London. Senior figures from retail and beyond will gather for the annual event to discuss the issues key to the future of the industry.
This includes Ricky Wilson, head of operations for M&S.com, who will be looking at ways to improve the end-to-end process of multi-channel. He will explore how Marks and Spencer have built the right infrastructure to meet its customers’ needs both online and offline.
Andrew Mann, vice president of insight and CRM at Asda, will identify how to align organisations to improve on their data literacy in order to deliver breakthrough commercial successes.
Debenhams’ Alistair Sercombe, who is head of returns for the company, will answer the question: Is returns prevention manageable? He will delve into returns prevention using data insights from consumers and products.
Returns will also be the focus of Shop Direct’s Anthony Baldwin, head of returns, who will look at how reverse logistics can be beneficial to retailers.
The event will close with a detailed look at how a John Lewis national distribution centre is run. Neil Gibbens, general manager of planning central operations at the retailer will look at the positives, negatives and the lessons learned from peak seasons.
