Privately owned real estate manager Redevco has acquired a logistics fleet facility in Widnes, UK, comprising approximately 560,000ft² across a 17-acre site.
The acquisition further strengthens Redevco’s logistics footprint in Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS), expanding it to 5.2 million ft² and €155 million (c. £132m) AuM across 11 assets.
The facility is fully let to Jaguar Land Rover and operated by DHL, supporting supply chain operations linked to JLR’s Halewood manufacturing plant in the Northwest of England.
The asset provides a combination of warehousing and vehicle maintenance functions, reflecting its critical role within the wider automotive logistics network.
The transaction highlights continued institutional demand for large-scale, mission-critical IOS assets, particularly those that are difficult to replicate due to planning constraints and limited land availability.
To date, Redevco Logistics has transacted more than €500 million (c. £428m) in IOS assets across the UK, Germany, Spain and Belgium, spanning over 16 million ft².
Redevco Logistics head Hugh Macdonald-Brown said: “This acquisition is a strong addition to our growing logistics platform and underlines our conviction in the IOS sector.
“Assets of this scale, location and tenant quality are increasingly scarce, yet essential to the efficient functioning of supply chains.
“The Widnes facility combines strategic connectivity with a high-quality occupier, supporting long-term income resilience and future growth potential.”
