Redevco has acquired two logistics assets in Spain comprising a vehicle rental hire depot in Getafe (Madrid) and a bus terminal in Sant Boi (Barcelona).
Both properties are Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) facilities and represent the second set of investments made by Redevco’s logistics team.
The Getafe asset, comprising 153,292ft² across 4.6 acre site, is a vehicle rental depot located within a core logistics hub in Madrid’s first ring.
It is fully let to Northgate (Zigup PLC), which has operated at the site since 2008 and is committed to a long-term lease. The tenant has invested significantly in the property over time, and the site benefits from excellent access to major highways and central Madrid.
In Barcelona, the Sant Boi asset, comprising 122,881ft² across 3.0 acre site, is a newly redeveloped EV bus depot, fully let to Monbus, a long-established operator of regional and airport transport services.
The site occupies a prime location close to Barcelona‑El Prat Airport with direct access to key transport routes.
Its redevelopment supports the tenant’s transition to electric mobility, including the installation of high-capacity charging infrastructure. As with the Madrid asset the facility offers further upside potential.
Both assets are located in transport‑advantaged urban submarkets characterised by strong demand and high barriers to entry.
Redevco head of logistics Hugh Macdonald‑Brown said: “Spain continues to demonstrate strong fundamentals for logistics, supported by high occupier demand, limited availability of well‑located land, and the critical role of transport‑oriented assets in urban supply chains.
“These transactions reflect the strength of our deal sourcing and execution in Iberia, where we are building a high‑quality portfolio in core locations.
“The quality of the tenants, the strategic positioning of the assets, and the embedded growth potential all reinforce our conviction in the logistics sector as a resilient and attractive investment theme.”
