A survey by the Road Haulage Association has highlighted the divide between large and small hauliers over Britain’s membership of the EU.
The majority of companies running larger fleets of vehicles wanted to remain, seizing 80 per cent of the vote. Only 17 per cent of those larger companies felt they would benefit from leaving the EU.
But SME member organisations (operating less than 65 vehicles), 62 per cent expressed a desire to leave, and only 28 per cent felt they should remain.
Overall, some 61 per cent of RHA members were in favour of Brexit.
