Rockwell Automation has announced that it has been selected by Ford Motor Company to provide solutions for its next three electric vehicle (EV) assembly sites.
Rockwell and Ford will collaborate to design and create solutions that they hope will increase the speed and efficiency of assembly processes in the production of Ford’s range of electric vehicles.
These systems will be put to use in three of Ford’s automotive production complexes in North America: one Canadian site in Oakville, Ontario and the other two in Tennessee and Ohio.
Chairman and Chief Executive of Rockwell Automation Blake Moret said: “We are strengthening the commitment to build world-class electric vehicles for the future and fortifying the relationship between Rockwell and Ford that has been in place for more than 75 years.”
