Royal Mail says it has reached a negotiators agreement with Unite on a pay deal for junior and middle managers.
As a result Unite has suspended its work to rule, overtime ban and other potential industrial action.
The deal covers the 2015 and 2016 pay awards for junior and middle managers in Royal Mail Group (excluding Parcelforce Worldwide), and is subject to a ballot by Unite members.
The union will recommend the offer that includes a1.6 per cent increase to basic pay, flowing through to allowances, regional pay and overtime from September 2015; and a further 1.3 per cent applied on the same basis from September 2016.
