Saudia Group’s dedicated air freight division Saudia Cargo has ordered four Boeing 777-200 freighters to facilitate rising air freight demand.
Reportedly, the plan aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The first plane will be delivered from the fourth quarter of this year, with the remaining three deliveries due to be completed throughout 2027.
Saudi Cargo reported a strong 2025, with more than 570,000 tonnes of cargo transported across a network of more than 90 destinations.
This was in addition to maintaining an on-time performance above 90%, supported by three IATA CEIV certifications and six specialist ISO certifications, with an NPS score of 57.
Saudia Cargo chief executive and managing director, Loay Mashabi, said: “The addition of four new freighters is the first step in this phase, reinforcing the value we deliver to our customers and partners, and supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.
“What we are announcing today is only the beginning of a new era of growth and expansion.”
