Chinese e-commerce retailer MH Star has snapped up a second whole scheme development in as many months bringing its total occupancy to some 900,000ft2 in two deals.
The company has taken out all three units at GLP’s 530,000 ft2 G.Park Bedford Wixams logistics park which is currently under construction.
G-Park Bedford Wixams is being developed on a speculative basis by GLP and comprises three buildings of 125,000ft2 160,000ft2, and 250,000ft2. It is the largest single development in Bedfordshire.
The development will assist with the company’s continued expansion in the UK. Arvind Panchmatia, General Manager, MH Star said: “As more consumers adapt their spending habits and shift to e-commerce, it has been increasingly important for us to source high-quality warehousing solutions so that we can effectively respond to ever-increasing demand. This new site will put us in a strong position to drive forward MH Star UK’s expansion as the business continues to grow and evolve.”
In August Logistics Manager reported that MH Star took the whole of Firethorn Trust’s 37-acre 354,000ft2 Northampton Cross scheme in the East Midlands.
Knight Frank acted for MH Star whilst Cushman & Wakefield, Savills, Brown & Lee acted for GLP.
