Sam Bird, a Senior Consultant in the Carbon Trust’s Business Services team, will be speaking at Logistics Manager’s Sustainable Supply Chain Conference in London on 10 May 2023.
The Carbon Trust was founded in 2001 as a partner for firms to decarbonise their business operations. It provides solutions to its clients to help them reduce their carbon emissions and meet sustainability targets.
Bird will discuss the strategic approach to decarbonisation, encompassing what steps need organisations need to take to understand and reduce their carbon impact. He will also cover the importance of quality data and engaging the supply chain when working to reduce carbon emissions.
In his role as a Senior Consultant, Bird helps the Carbon Trust’s corporate clients with their sustainability strategies. He specialises in offering support on value chain emissions measurement, science-based reduction targets and decarbonisation assessments, and climate change risks and opportunities reporting.
The companies he has worked with cover a variety of industries including food and drink, pharmaceuticals, leisure and tourism, and building products.
The conference is a one-day face-to-face event which highlights the untapped opportunity of supply chain decarbonisation in international climate action while also covering how having sustainability at the very core of businesses and their strategies can influence the bottom line.
