At the heart of the showcase was the unveiling of the Lector 85x, the latest addition to SICK’s image-based code reading family. With its unique field of view and extended depth of field, the Lector 85x promises unparalleled reliability in detecting 1D, 2D and stacked codes. Ideal for high-speed conveyor systems, its embedded AI techniques and powerful image processing reportedly ensures swift and accurate tracking even on the fastest-moving conveyors.
In a nod to Industry 4.0’s integration demands, SICK’s solutions demonstrated the seamless amalgamation of dimension and weight data with barcode identification.
Additionally, an installation featuring collaborative robots showcased SICK’s responsive laser scanning solutions, ensuring both productivity and safety in robot cells. With machine vision technologies guiding optimal picking and placing of goods, SICK underscored its commitment to seamless automation.
