SJ Bargh has officially opened its new transhipment site in Longton, Stoke on Trent, where it will consolidate its Endon and Ashbourne operations.
Construction work took 12 months on the site of the Shires bathroom manufacturing site, which closed some years ago.
Group managing director Anthony Finlayson-Green said: “We are delighted to open this purpose-built facility, where we consolidate our Endon and Ashbourne operations, adding a warehouse and workshop with ATF capability to 3rd party customers, along with a training school jointly used with RG Bassett’s as it develops its training capability to the transport and haulage market place in the area.”
SJ Bargh group has grown to a £40m turnover business with the acquisition last year of RG Bassett’s and Sons last year which continues to trade as a separate business under the group umbrella.
