St. Modwen Logistics has signed deals totalling 475,000ft2 with four e-commerce businesses in the South West. The expansion of ProCook, Furniture Box, Gardiner Brothers & Co. and Genpower follows the accelerated growth of e-commerce in the past 18 months.
Specialist cookware company, ProCook – which recently debuted on the London Stock Exchange – has signed a deal for a 168,000ft2 build to suit unit at St. Modwen Park Gloucester, expanding on its two existing units across Gloucestershire. Meanwhile, footwear specialist, Gardiner Brothers & Co, has signed for an additional 116,000ft2 build to suit unit at the same site – making it their fourth St. Modwen Logistics facility since 2018.
Demand for e-commerce warehouse space continues at St. Modwen Park Chippenham, where online furniture retailer, Furniture Box, has recently taken an 88,000ft2 build to suit unit. This follows a strong financial performance, including a rise in sales of £9.4 million in 2020.
Across the border, St. Modwen Park Newport has welcomed power equipment distributor, Genpower, which has occupied a 101,000ft2 unit.
All new warehousing space follows St. Modwen’s Swan Standard Responsible Business guidelines and hold BREEAM Excellent rating. Principles of the Standard are embedded into the delivery of Parks, with enhancements across five key areas: environment and sustainability, wellbeing, community, transport, and security.
