St. Modwen has signed four new tenants to its Chamberhall Business Park in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Carpet wholesaler Capper Sharrock will be occupying 26,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease, while Motion Industries, which specialises in bearings and power transmission products, has purchased a long leasehold interest in a 7,500 sq ft unit at the site.
Social enterprise Ability Tec, which specialises in contract electronics, has taken a 7,500 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease.
Finally, water-cooler specialist Bollin Valley has purchased a 2,500 sq ft unit at the site, and a second 2,500 sq ft unit has been purchased privately.
The business park is already home to Burgaflex, an automotive tube and hose manufacturer, which last month signed a long leasehold interest to occupy a 19,290 sq ft unit.
Gemma Butler, asset manager at St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics, said: “To see Chamberhall reach over 70% occupation this soon after construction shows confidence in the market and reaffirms our decision to speculatively deliver this first phase.”
Joint agents for the scheme, Paul Nolan at Nolan Redshaw and Rob Tilley at Knight Frank, added: “We knew that demand would be strong for this type and quality of scheme, we just needed a developer to share our view.”
