Still Materials Handling has been accredited a gold rating from Ecovadis for its commitment to social responsibility.
For the past decade, the company has been subject to evaluation by EcoVadis, which has involved examining four sustainability fields; environment, labour practices & human rights, fair business practices, and sustainable procurement, and now the company has been awarded a ‘gold’ rating. The accreditation applies specifically to environmental protection.
The company has said that operating in line with environmental and social standards forms the basis of its strategic decisions, which includes “maximum transparency across the entire value chain”, along with the ‘responsible’ use of resources from production to disposal, and ensuring and promoting high social and safety standards among suppliers and partners.
Frank Müller, senior vice president brand management and sales & service steering Still EMEA said: “The gold sustainability certificate is a great acknowledgment of our values and our long-standing efforts. Especially in view of the current climate situation, there is no alternative to economic practices that focus on the long-term protection and conservation of our global resources.”
