John Stubbings has been elected national chair of the British International Freight Association for a two-year period.
Rachel Morley, general manager at Spatial Global, has been elected vice-chair. Morley was appointed a director of BIFA in 2017 and chairs the trade association’s Midlands region.
Sir Peter Bottomley, MP, remains as BIFA president.
Stubbings, who is a director of the Woodland Group, succeeds Mark Bromley who becomes immediate past chair for a two-year term.
Charles Hogg, commercial director of Unsworth Global Logistics is joining the BIFA board. Hogg is currently Chair of BIFA’s Maritime, Road and Rail Policy Group. He replaces Andrew Melton of Ligentia, who has stepped down after fourteen years’ service on the Board. Melton will continue to assist BIFA in a Council role as Vice President.
Director general Robert Keen said: “In welcoming John and Rachel into their new positions, I wish to express my appreciation for the contribution made by Mark Bromley over the past few years; and by Andrew Melton over the last 14 years. I am also pleased that Sir Peter has agreed to continue in office.
