Sky CP has taken the Overall Award at the 2019 Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
Some 20 awards were presented to some 29 different businesses by comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner at a glittering ceremony before hundreds of supply chain professionals and leaders at the Park Lane Hilton in London last night.
Sky fought off some strong competition from the likes of Primark Stores with PAC-D; Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust with Ingencia Solutions and Heineken UK with Tradeteam.
Sky also won the Ethical Supply Chain Award and its entry set out a progressive and comprehensive strategy that demonstrated its commitment to growing responsibly, covering a wide range of challenges from climate change the human rights.
The judges said: “Sky CP have a robust audit process in place and are very clear on vision and measurable high-level goals – the entry fully deserves the Ethical Supply Chain trophy.
Innovation was a key theme of the evening: Forterra won the Delivery Innovation Award, Leonard Helicopter Division with Kuehne + Nagel won the Logistics Innovation Award, Wickes with Wincanton won the Retail Innovation Award while Yunji Technology with Geek+ Robotics won the Robotics Innovation Award.
There was also a special Lifetime Achievement Award presented to former Logistics Manager Editor Malory Davies.
