Online retailer Surfdome.com has extended its contract with XPO Logistics for the management of its UK-based e-fulfilment operation.
XPO will continue to be responsible for receiving goods from Surfdome.com’s suppliers, as well as order picking, marshalling, packing, dispatch and returns management.
It has managed Surfdome.com’s fulfilment operation from a dedicated facility in Wellingborough since 2012. It currently picks over 75,000 units from 55,000 warehouse locations each week – a 30 per cent volume increase over the last year.
Surfdome sells technical equipment, clothing, footwear and accessories from more than 400 surf, snow and skate brands.
To accommodate Surfdome.com’s growth, XPO has added a facility, at an adjacent site, to provide a further 30 per cent of warehousing space. It has also introduced a next-day express delivery service for UK orders placed before 9:00 pm.
