Swisslog, a provider of warehouse automation and software, is set to open its new Americas regional headquarters in Atlanta.
This expansion aims to accommodate the company’s growth and bolster its market presence in North America.
The new headquarters will be situated in Dunwoody, a northern suburb of Atlanta, and will serve as the regional hub for Swisslog in the Americas.
This strategic location was selected to enhance Swisslog’s existing facilities in Virginia, Ohio and Mexico, and support its network of field service engineers across the US.
Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch expressed enthusiasm about the development, saying: “We are thrilled to welcome Swisslog to Dunwoody and Perimeter.
“Our skilled workforce and central location in Metro Atlanta make us an ideal home for an expanding international company. Dunwoody will benefit greatly from a new corporate partner in our growing logistics ecosystem.”
The move follows Swisslog’s recent appointment of Sean Wallingford as president and CEO of Swisslog Americas.
Under his leadership, the company has said it will increase momentum in delivering automation solutions that provide tangible results for customers.
Wallingford highlighted Atlanta’s significance as a global supply chain hub and emphasised Dunwoody’s strategic location and access to the airport as key factors in its decision.
Swisslog’s automation solutions include Vectura pallet stacker cranes, PowerStore high-density shuttle systems, CycloneCarrier shuttle systems, ACPaQ automated palletisers, AutoStore and SynQ management software.
Currently, the company operates a 24/7 customer support network in North America.
