Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe is to use Sixfold’s live shipment sharing platform for automated monitoring of its inbound and outbound transport.
The high-grade flat steel manufacturer will use Sixfold to monitor movements across all its European sites in real-time and said it would also use the data to better utilise resources in warehouses and operational sites.
Wolfgang Wörner, chief executive at Sixfold, said: “Systematic reporting and benchmarking with the help of ETAs helps the world’s biggest companies to better manage their carriers and consequently reduce freight costs by 1–3 per cent.”
