DHL has snapped up two new warehouses to act as parcel hubs: one in Southampton and one in Dinnington, South Yorkshire.
DHL has taken Trebor Developments and partner, Hillwood’s speculatively developed Atomic at 31 East facility on Kingfisher Way in Dinnington which totals 78,458 sq ft. While in Southampton it has taken an 84,000 sq ft industrial unit at BlackRock and Bericote’s Alpha Park.
The deal is understood to be worth £8m with DHL taking the space at around £9 per sq ft on a 10-year lease.
The building comprises 78,000 sq ft of warehouse space and 6,000 sq ft of office space and has two level access doors alongside six dock level loading doors. Lambert Smith Hampton and BNP Paribas Real Estate acted for Blackrock and Bericote.
Knight Frank, Commercial Property Partners and CBRE advised Trebor/Hillwood while DHL Parcel UK Limited (formerly UK Mail) dealt with the transaction internally.
