Icon Industrial, a joint venture between developer Stoford and US investor TPG Real Estate, has secured detailed planning consent for two different schemes site at its Icon Manchester scheme at Manchester Airport.
The 18.81 acre plot is known as Unit 2 at the World Logistics Hub near Manchester Airport and the developer put in two separate applications for consideration by Manchester Council for the site last year. Both schemes secured approval this week.
One proposal suggests 398,000 sq ft cross dock facility with 375,250 sq ft of warehouse space featuring an adjoining 19,000 sqft, three-storey office block and a separate 4,000 sq ft, two-storey office hub.
While the other envisages a larger facility of 459,000 sq ft with 435,942 sq ft of warehouse space and 21,086 sq ft of offices. Both schemes would have an eaves height of 18m.
The architect is Webb Gray and Avison Young is the planning consultant.
Icon Manchester is a £150 million 45-acre logistics/warehouse development that forms part of the Airport City masterplan.
