Berry Bros. & Rudd, Britain’s oldest wine and spirits merchant is opening a new distribution centre in Andover, Hampshire.
The wine merchant has pre-let a 118,000 sq ft warehouse at developer Goodman’s Andover Business Park subject to planning permission.
An application has been submitted to Test Valley Council, for the facility which will be used as a storage and distribution centre of refrigerated products.
The building will have some 2,500 sq ft of office space as well as 14m eaves. It will have four dock and one level access door and will be built to BREEAM Very Good standard.
Andover Business Park is to the Co-operative Group’s regional distribution centre, a state-of-the-art production facility for bakery manufacturer, Rich Products UK and a 460,000 sq ft warehouse for Westcoast. It has direct access to the A303 trunk road, which links London and the West Country and is less than nine miles from the A34.
A plot of 13.84 acres is available for design and build up to 300,000 sq ft.
