The UK Warehousing Association held its 2018 UKWA Awards ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel on the 4th July, awarding 10 companies and individuals across the logistics sector for their outstanding performance and professionalism.
“The UKWA Awards are established as symbols of achievement and emphasise the importance of logistics within today’s economy,” said UKWA CEO, Peter Ward.
The winners were:
Best New UKWA Member: DAP UK Ltd
Young Employee of the Year: Sam Collins, Walker Logistics Ltd
Manager of the Year: Donald Gillies, Bullet Express Ltd
Environment Award: Howard Tenens
Award for Innovation: Gotelee Solicitors
Training Award: International Logistics Group
Customer Service: Granby Marketing Services
Infrastructure Project: John Lewis plc
Logistics Service Provider of the Year: Miniclipper Logistics
The Chairman’s Award was awarded to Chris Sturman. “Chris is a consummate professional,” said UKWA chairman Graeme Undy. “He is a fine example of all that is good about the logistics sector and the award is recognition of UKWA’s appreciation of everything Chris has done for our industry.”
