Global logistics company UPS has signed an agreement with Dubai South to open a new facility within its Logistics District, as part of UPS’s strategic expansion in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the wider Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Dubai South, previously known as Dubai World Central, is Dubai’s largest single urban master development, focusing on an aviation and logistics ecosystem. It is set to be home to the world’s largest airport upon completion, complemented by a ‘multi-modal transport infrastructure connecting air, land and sea’.
Its Logistics District offers ‘uninterrupted access’ to Jebel Ali Port via a bonded logistics corridor. Operated by DP World, Jebel Ali Port is the largest port in the Middle East, covering a total area of more than 1.4 million ft².
DP World is a sponsor of the inaugural Supply Chain Excellence Awards MEA!
