Jonathon Buckby is the UK head of sales for automation at SSI SCHAEFER, looking after all automation projects within the UK, covering a broad range of technologies across all industries.
Having worked in intralogistics for a decade, he joined SSI as a field sales operative within the statics division.
Over the years this quickly transitioned to automation, successfully working on multiple projects, most notably the award-winning Boohoo project in Sheffield as the sales lead. Such a transition gives broad knowledge across the SSI range, ensuring all projects are handled from a best fit for customer perspective.
Today the UK automation team regularly delivers over £100 million worth of projects on an annual basis, covering everything from pallet shuttles, pouch sorters, conveyor systems, shuttles and many more.

James McLoughlin is the deputy editor of Logistics Manager. With a Journalism degree from the University of Leeds, he brings experience in producing multimedia news content on a wide range of topics.
His role involves researching, writing and editing content for Logistics Manager, both online and in print. Beyond supporting the production of monthly magazines and producing daily website content, he has hosted webinars and engages with numerous in-person events hosted by Logistics Manager and Akabo Media.
