Fowler Welch will provide bulk storage to the Wensleydale Creamery for its maturing cheese, as well as distribution services between two of its manufacturing sites in Hawes and Ripon, North Yorkshire.
The new contract was awarded following a full tender process after Wensleydale Creamery identified a need for the storage of approximately 1,500 pallets, split between ambient and temperature-controlled environments.
Fowler Welch’s IT allows for full systems integration and as part of the contract has made significant investment at the site, not only in the storage and racking equipment but in infrastructure.
Georgina Parker, supply chain manager for Wensleydale Creamery, said: “Not only does the dual-temperature facility suit our needs perfectly, the team have gone above and beyond to provide a solution for us. We are incredibly impressed by the service so far and look forward to working with the team, especially during the busy festive season.”
