Postal company Whistl has partnered with iForce to develop an Intelligent Routing System for its multi-carrier single supplier packets and parcel service. This is part of Whistl’s plan to expand its parcels expansion.
“The iForce IRS software has enabled us to provide a single, multi-carrier management tool suitable for both large and small retailers who want a seamless cost effective way to enhance their delivery activity and ultimately improve the end consumer experience,” said Christine Key, managing director, packets & parcels, Whistl.
The new software enables the postal company to collect all of a customer’s ecommerce large letters, packet, and parcels in one go. This is integrated with a ‘range of carefully selected UK and international carriers’, which will enable Whistl to ‘process, manage and track deliveries more efficiently’.
As well as this, tailored, branded communications can be sent to the end consumer at ‘trigger points’ during a delivery operation.
Whistl has also completed the management team for its packets and parcels department with the appointment of Steve Vass as development director.
Vass will continue the development of Whistl’s carrier management interface, its relationship with carriers and advise ‘on the most appropriate solution and carrier interface for new current and potential clients.’
“Steve will support the delivery of the packets & parcels strategy through leveraging his vast experience including faster on boarding of clients, the development of the carrier management platform capability, the introduction of strategically placed e-commerce partners and further integration with a wider carrier community to ensure we have the best in class service offering,” said Nick Wells, CEO Whistl.
