William Stobart has returned to Eddie Stobart Logistics, with current chief executive Sebastien Desreumaux to leave at the end of the month.
Stobart has been appointed as executive chairman of Greenwhitestar Acquisitions, which indirectly holds 100% per cent of the interests in the trading entities which were formerly subsidiaries of Eddie Stobart Logistics.
He will handle day-to-day management responsibilities of the firm.
Sebastien Desreumaux, previously chief executive of subsidiary iForce and head of contract logistics became chief executive t Eddie Stobart Logistics in August 2019 following the departure of Alex Laffey. He resigned from the board of Greenwhitestar and will leave at the end of December 2019.
Eddie Stobart has an indirect 49% interest in the issued shares of Greenwhitestar, with Douglas Bay Capital holding a 51% interest.
