Manufacturer of health and beauty products Neal’s Yard Remedies has announced that it will be extending its partnership with Wincanton, which has been providing the brand with logistics services to fulfil its e-commerce orders since 2008.
The partnership’s effective implementation of technology this year earned the companies the ‘Best Use of Robotics Award’ at the 2022 Supply Chain Excellence Awards. Wincanton provided the retailer with a unique supply chain solution, blending together robotics, wearable technology, and AI to support its direct-to-consumer logistics.
Orders will be distributed from Wincanton’s Cygnia facility in Northampton, which is one of the group’s first sites to become carbon neutral. Wincanton will also provide value-added services including a bespoke gifting service and in-order sampling.
Carl Moore, Managing Director of e-fulfilment at the Wincanton Group said: “The widening of our mandate for Neal’s Yard Remedies demonstrates the value Cygnia is bringing to the wider Wincanton Group and the value of our robotics solutions to better serve our mid-market customers’ direct-to-consumer supply chains.”
Both parties seem enthusiastic about the continuation of the partnership, with Chief Executive of Neal’s Yard Remedies Stephen Tobitt saying: “We are pleased to build upon our long-standing partnership with Wincanton Group to accelerate our growth in the direct-to-consumer channel. Working in close partnership with their Cygnia team, we are proud to have established a fulfilment operation that enables us to offer our customers the best possible experience when shopping with us online.”
