Wincanton has renewed its wines and spirts storage and distribution contract with Waitrose and Partners.
The three-year contract renewal will see Wincanton continue to manage the storage and distribution of wines and spirits for Waitrose from its HMRC-approved bonded warehouse facility in Greenford, London.
It will co-ordinating the transportation of some 12.5 million cases every year to Waitrose’s network of supermarkets, convenience stores and service stations, as well as Waitrose Cellar, totalling close to 365 outlets across the UK.
Wincanton chief executive James Wroath: “The flexibility of our network and bespoke storage solutions has enabled us to extend our long-standing partnership with Waitrose, which we are delighted to see continue.
“As e-commerce continues to grow at pace, our responsiveness and innovation-led logistics are key to unlocking value for our retail customers,” he added.
