Supply chain solutions provider Wincanton has announced that it has agreed a new four-year contract with bicycle manufacturer and ‘creator of the folding bike’ Brompton Bicycle.
The new contract will see Wincanton provide warehousing and transport services for Brompton Bicycle as it ‘continues its growth trajectory in the UK and meets customer demand’.
James Hurrell, managing director for grocery and consumer at Wincanton, said: “Brompton is a real British success story, and one that we’re delighted to bring on board as a customer.
“We look forward to working together and are pleased that our storage and distribution infrastructure, and the expertise we offer alongside it, will help to support Brompton’s next phase of growth.”
Wincanton says that in order to ‘streamline Brompton’s logistics operations, drive efficiencies and increase sustainability’, it will ‘consolidate Brompton’s existing network of warehouses across London into a single facility in Greenford, West London’.
