Wincanton has taken the remaining 230,000 sq ft of warehouse space at Crossflow 380 on Weston Road in Crewe.
The supply chain solutions provider has taken an 18 month sub-lease on the space to service a short term contract from Tesco. JLL which is marketing the building let 151,000s q ft of space six months ago to Expert Logistics to serve a contract with AO.com. The passing rent on the lease which expires in 18 months is £4.50 per sq ft. Both deals were concluded at the passing rent.
Stuart Murray of Savills said: “Crossflow 380 benefits from a superb location close to the M6 which, combined with its flexible and first class industrial specification, made it an ideal solution for Wincanton. The letting forms part of the firm’s ongoing strategy to meet its customers’ needs by acquiring new sites.”
Savills also secured two units totalling 150,000 sq ft at Heywood Distribution Park on behalf of Wincanton in late 2014.
Crossflow 380 has 40 dock and four level access doors, boats a large secure parking yard and space for 87 trailers. It is fully racked with heating lighting and sprinklers. Tesco leased Crossflow 380 in 2006 from developer Prologis.
JLL advised Tesco while Savills acted for Wincanton.
