Property developer Stoford has completed construction of a £5m 58,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution centre in Essex that has been purchased by plumbing and heating firm Wolseley UK.
Wolseley will open a Pipe Center and Climate Center branch and Fabrication facility at the unit, which is located on Stoford’s 2.3-acre Bas55 site on Paycocke Road in Basildon.
Dominic Stokes, director of Stoford, said: “The site had been vacant since we completed the construction of the Driving Standards Agency unit in 2008. However, due to the recent surge in demand in the warehouse and logistics sector for high quality accommodation, we were always confident the market would respond positively to our development of the site.”
