The judges nominate candidates for the Team of the Year based on who impressed during the presentations.
All the nominated organisations could demonstrate a strong team performance but one stood out. YPO, the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation, supplies products and services to a wide range of customers including schools, local authorities, charities, emergency services, public sector and other businesses such as nurseries and care homes.
It entered with its distribution improvement programme, which is says critically improved the service to its customer, environmental impact and cost of operation.
It worked as a true partnership with the team from Hatmill Supply Chain Advisors fully integrating them into the YPO family with email addresses and a company fleece, helping break down some of the barriers of suspicion and mistrust often associated with hired help.
The Team of the Year Award goes to YPO.
