Yusen Logistics has officially opened its pharma gateway at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
The operation links Yusen’s Antwerp import/export consolidation centre and European central warehouse with its Schiphol air operations, to form a multi-modal hub. This is managed from a control tower, manned by a UK-based international team linked to Yusen’s offices around the world.
The 1,200 sq m bonded GDP compliant warehouse provides ambient and cold storage, pest control, and separation of pharma and general cargo. The 125 cu cold store has 45 pallet positions.
Yusen’s president Hiromitsu Kuramoto said: “This opening represents the next step in the realization of our global healthcare strategy, with this strategic European operation at its very heart.
